5 Jan 2005 Response to "Serpents of Desire", Article 10 -- by Malka Abramovitz
An interesting response to the "Serpents of Desire" series of articles, by Malka Abramovitz, of Montreal, Canada. Some keen insights, I think, on some of the remaining, outstanding issues in the story -- as well as an original poem, touching on some of the same issues.
4 Jan 2005 The Sale of Joseph vs. the Binding of Isaac -- by Daniel Stahl

This essay explores a fascinating series of parallels between the story of the Akeidah, the Binding of Isaac, and the Sale of Joseph. The significance of the parallels is, in my mind (Rabbi Fohrman's, that is), an open question -- and one I invite you to think about. Their existence, though, seems hard to dispute. I think you'll find this quite intriguing. The author of this essay, Daniel Stahl, is from Palo Alto, CA. He has been in contact with Rabbi Fohrman over the years, and recently sent this essay along to him for feedback; Rabbi Fohrman, in turn, is now sharing it with you! Daniel recently graduated from Penn, and is now studying at Yeshiva Darchei Noam in Jerusalem.
